Community & Social Impact

Our Philosophy:
Design as Stewardship

We believe that great design should not be a luxury—it should be a catalyst for community growth. Our firm is built on the principle that our technical skills and knowledge exist in service to our community and neighborhoods. Whether we are volunteering or drafting plans for a local nonprofit, we are committed to shaping the neighborhoods where we live and work.

Community Design Partnerships

To support initiatives that align with our core values, we dedicate a portion of our annual capacity to Community Design Partnerships. These projects allow us to offer professional design services at a reduced rate for organizations that are directly serving the public good.

How We Partner

To ensure we can provide the highest level of care to every project, we limit these type of engagements to a select number of partnerships per year. Our selection is based on:

Mission Alignment

Projects that support education, sustainability, or social equity.

Community Need

Initiatives that lack the resources for traditional market-rate design but provide essential services to the public.

Collaborative Spirit

Organizations with a clear vision and a dedicated point of contact for the design process.

Note: All Community Partnership projects follow a structured Scope of Work to ensure professional standards and clear boundaries for both parties.

Our
Team
in Action

Our commitment to the community isn't limited to our technical expertise. We believe in being physically present where the work is happening. From local habitat restoration to mentoring the next generation of designers, our team is encouraged to take active roles in local service.

Direct Involvement Initiatives

  • Design Mentorship: We partner with local schools to introduce students to the world of architecture and design, providing portfolio reviews and career guidance.
  • Hands-On Service Days: Annually our entire office steps away from the screen to participate in physical volunteering—whether it’s cleaning up trash, participating in community gardens or supporting local initiatives.
